The 2009 season of Blesoe County Little Blue Football and Cheerleading is off to a fantastic start and all our teams are having a successfull first half. We are excited about the future of the program and our goal every year is to improve upon the previous year. We definitely have our work cut out for us. Last year we had three teams in the championship games and 2 with undefeated seasons. The 2009 Little Blue cheerleading squads took home all four championships. Congratulations to all the coaches, players and cheerleaders who made last year the best ever for LItlle Blue.
While our success is not based on wins and losses, we believe if we continue to teach the fundamentals of both sports, it will ultimatley show in the success of each team.
The Kick-Off Classic was once again a success, with teams from Southside, North Grundy, Jasper,Sparta and Knoxville returning from last year's event. The future of our program is very bright, with a record number of children participating. We once again eclipsed last year's numbers, and all the talk of LIttle Blue football in the county is proof of the hard work put in by the volunteers and officers. This program is where the children of Bledsoe County get their first taste of football and cheerleading, and we strive to keep their interest, and send these same children to the Middle School and High School levels with love, excitement and respect for these two sports.
Alot of the officers and volunteers in our porgram have been involved in Little Blue Football for close to eight years, and we feel like we have accomplished alot in those years. The new bathroom and concession stand are proof of the growth of our league, as well as proof of the commiment to this league by all the officers, parents and the community. We are very proud of the bathrooms. cocession stand and the new metal light poles and it really shows the never ending suppply of volunteers and the time they commit to our league and to the children involved in it. We would like to thank all the volunteers, who worked on the bulidings and light poles, for without you none of this would have been possible. We still have alot more we would like to see accomplished before we move on to the next level. We feel like all of us, no matter what sport or program we cheer for, should be fans of the people who are striving to make a difference, and our officers, parents, fans, and community continue to work towards making the difference in the lives of Bledsoe County's children.
We feel that if we as officers, parents and community leaders become content with the present. we will fall behind in the future; because of this we will stive to make the Bledsoe County Little Blue Program the best it can be for the childtrem of Bledsoe County.
Thank you for your continued support,
